Anza-Borrego Reserve Administration Collection

This collection contains the administrative files of the Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center (SBAB). It consists of correspondence concerning the establishment of the reserve, accounts of the kickoff celebration, media clippings, drafts of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with UC Irvine and Anza-Borrego State Park, and other general administrative correspondence. This collection was created by reserve director Jim Dice, through his roles with both California State Parks and the NRS. These materials provide particular insight into the institutional process of creating the reserve.
