Lloyd Tevis Deep Canyon Papers

Abstract

This collection contains Lloyd Tevis’s papers from his role as the first reserve director for the Boyd Deep Canyon Desert Research Center.

This collection includes: (1) administrative documents pertaining to operations, donations, grants, National Science Foundation applications, planning, reserve use, facilities, and research administration, (2) documents related to Anthony Galt's archeological survey of Deep Canyon in the 1960s, (3) photographs of roads, facilities, archeological sites, researchers, landscape, geology, and flora and fauna, (4) correspondence, including documents concerning Ansel Adams’s photo profile of Deep Canyon.
