Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserve Photograph Collection

This collection contains slide and print photographs of the Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserve’s two sites—the Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Laboratory (SNARL) and Valentine Camp—which are run as a single unit through UCSB. Most of the photographs were taken by the reserve director Dan Dawson, though some date from before his tenure. Subjects include facilities, grazing, research, researchers, other visitors, scenery, wildfire, construction of experimental streams, and elementary school classes.
