Angelo Reserve Director's Collection

Abstract

This collection includes administrative files created at the reserve level and pertaining to the Angelo Coast Range Reserve and The Nature Conservancy's Northern California Coast Range Preserve, the name of the reserve site before it joined the NRS in 1989. The collection focuses mainly on research administration and reserve operation materials.

Notable materials include visitor log sheets (2002-2008), photographs and slides of the reserve (1981-1982), aerial photographs (1947-1976), environmental monitoring data from the Eel River (1992-1993), owl survey data (1990), fish survey data (1994), and marbled murrelet monitoring data (2004-2005). It also includes application forms, research summaries, reserve bibliographies, species lists, proposals for courses to be taught at the reserve, researcher files, administrative files pertaining to TNC environmental education programs (1980s), budget information (1987-1997), annual reports and supporting documentation (1990-2003), correspondence organized by year (1989-1998), including with Angelo family, facilities and equipment files, and fundraising files.
